TEST DRIVE

Welcome to the first test drive meme for Influx! This serves the usual test driving purposes of trying your character out in the setting and tagging around for fun and making friends. CR from the test drive meme may be kept once the game starts, if both parties are accepted and both parties are willing!

Command has been anticipating your arrival, new residents, and it has been very accurate. Accurate enough that when you find yourself in Anchor, there's a welcome party under way. After all, you've come to help, both the planet and yourselves, and Command has missed having a little company around the place...

1. Picnic: In the bright late-summer afternoon, characters will find themselves on the grass by the pond in the park at the bottom level of Anchor. There are massive buffet tables spread with any kind of food you could imagine, and large red-and-white-checked blankets laid out so new arrivals can enjoy the sun.

2. Exploration: The dorms are closed for now, but your character is more than welcome to go exploring and try out whatever they find. Command will even provide helpful directions if your character asks!

3. Fireworks and Champagne: After the sun sets, Command is putting on a pretty fireworks display to celebrate the new arrivals, with finger foods and sparkling champagne set out for observers.

The setting is a little creepy for the moment, what with Command ignoring any new arrival upset (or property damage) in favor of blithely pretending everyone is happy to be here, at least for the first day.

4. ICE AGE: There's been a freak stabilization, and Command invites your characters to check out a bank of lockers where they can find supplies for the outside world. What they'll find is parkas, snowshoes, and spears - the world outside is at the brink of an ice age, with glaciers and deep snow. Hunt a wooly mammoth, get hunted by a sabertooth tiger, check out the remaining plants, or try to see if you can find the planet's early inhabitants.
